Blazer Color and Structure
With blush being the color for the season, this J.Crew New Lightweight Sweater Blazer is one of my favorite purchases. The blazer adds clean lines and structure to any outfit, making you look instantly put together. Many women agree – I’ve received multiple comments from my co-workers and customers, asking me where I purchased it. They specifically like the blazer because of the structure, as opposed to a loose boyfriend blazer, and everyone seems to love the blush color! But, if you prefer a different color, it also comes in gray, navy, light blue, and camel. I think the gray and camel color would be excellent for fall and winter, making it appropriate to wear year round!
Blazer Weight and Weather
Because it is sweater material, it adds some warmth and is a great layering piece for spring weather. I traveled to Massachusetts last week where temperatures ranged from high 40’s to low 60’s. This sweater was perfect to throw on whenever I got cold. Because the temperature was mostly on the lower side, I wore a Halogen cashmere sweater underneath. If it were warmer, I would have thrown the blazer over a t-shirt or lightweight sweater.
If you don’t like the sweater material… J.Crew just came out with the popular Parke Blazer in a blush color! The material is stretch linen and super cute. It will be great piece you can wear from spring to summer, especially if you live in warmer climate where spring is above 60 degrees!
How to Wear the Blazer
I dressed the blazer down by pairing it with Keds sneakers, but you could just as easily elevate the look with a block heel pointy toe pump! I absolutely love these Keds and have been wearing them with everything!
In case you are interested in the jewelry…the earrings and necklace are from Francescas. I paired the blazer with these earrings because there is a subtle pink color in the stone. If it were not for the jewelry, the look could be a bit boring. I think these pieces add just enough interest while keeping the look classic, simple and casual.
